Over two thousand years ago a man asked Jesus the question, "what is truth?" (John 18:38)
In an age where there are many voices that are out there, how does one know the truth. This is some what similar to what John the Baptist must have been going through, as he was shut in prison. He decided to send his disciples to Jesus.
Luke 7:20-22
20 When the men were come
unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he
that should come? or look we for another?
21 And in that same hour
he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto
many that were blind he gave sight.
22 Then Jesus answering
said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard;
how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear,
the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
As you see from
the above passage, Jesus didn't try to prove that he was the Christ by, quoting
the scriptures or trying to remind John about a common experience they had
