Names in the Holy Scriptures were significant. Most all of the names have a meaning that conveys a message. God even changed some people’s names AS a message in the change itself.

The Apostle John stressed the importance of the holy NAME of the SON OF GOD(Yahweh) "twice in one verse".

‘YAHH’ >>>>> The sacred root of the Elohim(God) of Israel.

‘YAHweh’ >>> The holy name of the Elohim(God) of Israel first revealed in the Old Testament.

‘YAHoshua’ >> The Hebrew-Aramaic holy name of the Messiah. ‘YAHShua’ >>> The English translation of Yahoshua.

In Isaiah when God prophesied of the coming Messiah, he says: "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." (6005)

I am not a Hebrew or Greek scholar but the following has changed my concept of the translations in the Bible for the name and title of the SON OF GOD. It is my hope that the Holy Spirit will take these words and bring truth to his people.

The Hebrew-Aramaic holy name for the Messiah is ‘Yahoshua’. ‘Jehoshua’ and ‘Yehoshua’ are two TRANSLITERATIONS of the original Hebrew name. The more perfect name that the Messiah inherited is his Hebrew-Aramaic name ‘Yahosua’, rendered YahShua in English. The Greek name ‘Jesus’ should never be used.

I do not mean to infer here that the Holy Scriptures were not inspired by God. But, when the Hebrew-Aramaic manuscripts were translated into Greek the name and title of the SON OF (ELOHIM)GOD were changed for their own purpose.

I highly recommend that you check this out yourself. Get out your Strong’s Concordance and look up the name ‘Jesus’. Above the listing of where his name appears in scripture an explanation and definition of the name is found. The pronunciation is stated as ‘Je’Zeus’. Look at it closely. Then go to the first reference where that name is listed and look up the Strong’s number. It reads like this:

‘Iesous’ is a GREEK word and is NOT, and I say NOT of Hebrew origin. ‘Jehoshua’ is the correct translation from the Hebrew. So why was the SON OF GOD called ‘Jesus’ if his true name was ‘Jehoshua’(Yah’Shua)?

There is no question that the apostles and disciples of the Messiah, who were Aramaic speaking Hebrews, knew and called the SON OF GOD(ELOHIM) by His (TRUE) ‘HOLY NAME’. ‘YAHoshua’(YAH'Shua). By no means did they address Him by the Greek name ‘IESOUS’! Moreover, when the New Testament was originally written in Hebrew-Aramaic, the name ‘Yahoshua Messiah’ was declared for the SON OF GOD(Yahwhe). This is the NAME in the divine plan of the ELOHIM(GOD)OF ISRAEL for his coming in the flesh.

What was the purpose for this blatant deception? The answer is written in Greek Mythos.

To this day and hour the bulk of ‘christianity’ is totally UN-AWARE of the ‘TRUE’ holy name of The True Savior and Redeemer, who came in the flesh in the first century 0001 AD.

It is NOT enough to thoroughly analyze and explain the origin and meaning of the Hebrew Holy Name ‘Yahoshua’ (YahShua). We must, once and for all, root out the truth about the Greek name ‘IESOUS’, which we know is the erroneous translation and BASIS for the name ‘Jesus’ into English by Greek scholars.

The name ‘JESUS’ occurs numerous times throughout the English New Testament. It is a TRANSLITERATION of the Greek name ‘IESOUS’.

Countless churches were and are established IN THE NAME OF "JESUS"! Countless acts of the "Christian" pastorate and priesthood are carried out "IN THE NAME OF JESUS..."

Let’s look at the Greek word "IESOUS’ and take special notice of the "s" or "z" which sounds the same in both the Greek and the English names when translated.

The names with "soos", "sooce", "ses", and "sez" endings are Greek while the Hebrew always ends with an "ah" sound in spite of its varying forms. This shows the absolute difference between the names ‘Iesous’=‘Jesus’(Greek) from the holy name ‘Yahoshua’(Hebrew). It is proof positive that ‘Iesous’ is not an ‘ACCURATE TRANSLATION’ of ‘Yahoshua’ or any of its Hebrew-Aramaic roots!

In order to establish the origin of the name ‘Iesous’, it will be necessary to understand how the name ‘Ie-sous’ arose:

The Greeks recognized no other deities except those of the Greek Mythos. Their false, pagan deity called ‘Zeus’ was their CHIEF GOD (Father god of Greek mythos) and ruler of the sky. In Greek, ‘Zeus’ is pronounced as "SOUS" or "SOOCE" with a long "oo" / "u" sound. The Greek believed that ‘Zeus’ controlled the SUN.

The historian Homer, the earliest Greek writer to mention ‘Zeus’, calls him the FATHER OF GODS AND MEN.

The evidence very strongly supports the fact that the Greek name "SOUS" IN "IeSOUS" was taken from the Greek pagan diety ‘Zeus’ Hence:

"Je - Zeus" >> = << "Je - sus"

This fact alone totally disqualifies "Iesous" and "Jesus" [Je-Zeus] as holy names for the SON OF (Elohim)GOD!

Not only is it the name of a false, pagan god, it is an abomination. Moreover, as we already know, true believers in the Elohim of Israel and in the name ‘Yahoshua Messiah’ are to never allow the names of pagan deities to cross our lips. This is the great deception of the Dragon of Revelation that leads every kindred, tongue and nation to worship the beast and the ‘NAME’ of the beast.

As one grows in the light of truth, given by the grace of YahShua Messiah, and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it becomes self evident that the Holy Name of the SON OF GOD(Yahwhe=Elohim) must, in view of this true light, the name YahShua is to be use when speaking of Him.

Deception lies in wait upon the unaware, yet revelation knowledge of the ‘TRUE’ name of ‘YahShua’ delivers, if it is received.

What About ‘Christ’?

If the trans-lit-ers gave us a Greek deity as the SON OF (ELOHIM)GOD then we must in all good conscious ask, "What about ‘Christ’."

At this point we must "REVEAL" the origin of the name ‘Christ’, and establish the "correct ORIGINAL Hebrew holy name as given to the Apostles and Disciples back then.

The name or official title "CHRIST", which does NOT occur at all in the Old Testament, but does occur numerous times in the New Testament and is in every case the Greek name "CHRISTOS" [Strong's Grk.#5547].

This is a pure Greek name and there is no effort made to associate it with the Hebrew in any way.

Once Again I must state, ‘Christ’ is a GREEK word and is NOT, and I say NOT of Hebrew origin. ‘Messiah’ is the correct translation from the Hebrew. So again, why was the SON OF GOD referred to as ‘Christ’ if the TRUE Hebrew translation is ‘Messiah’?

Even if the Greeks scholars using Greek alphabetical consonants and characters to translate the Hebrew ‘Mashach’ (Messiah) into Greek it would appear as ‘Messias’. Correctly rendered so in two passages of scripture in the King James Bible. John 1:41; John 4:25.

The Greek name "CHRISTOS" [Strong's Grk.#5547] has the meaning of "anointed" just as the Hebrew name "Mashach" has the same approximate meaning. Since the Greeks never accept any other deity beyond the Greek mythos, the Greek name ‘Christos’ refers to the "anointed one"(high priest and priestesses) of their own pagan religion and not the anointed one of Hebrew faith.

The fact is clear that the sacred Hebrew names of YahShua and Messiah were deliberately polluted by Pagan terminology and traditions!

The truth is, that there is absolutely NO JUSTIFICATION in scholarly practice or in the strict Hebrew based Holy Name translations to support the legitimate use of the name "Christ[OS]" in connection with the SON(YahShua) OF GOD(Elohim) FATHER of Israel.

The English transliteration ‘Christ’ comes from ‘Christos’ AND ‘Chrisma’ which means "to anoint". KRIShma is the terminology used to describe the power of pagan deities. It is where we get the term Charisma as we now use to describe the attraction persona of a person.

By NO MEANS did the Israelite believers in the ‘Anointed One’ call their Messiah "Christ", or Jesus, nor did they call themselves "Christians" ...EVER!

Finally, we come to those who follow. How did the ‘followers of Mashach’(MessiYAH) came to be "erroneously" called ‘CHRISTIANS’.

The English name ‘Christ’ is the root name for what are commonly called ‘CHRISTIANS’. It is one of the most widely used terms in all of ‘CHRISTENDOM’.
