The Day of the Lord

And the "Mysteries of Fatima"

Grace and Peace unto all in the Precious and Holy Name of Jesus!! For many years we have heard much wonderful preaching on the subject of the day of the Lord, and much of it has been excellent teaching. But recently though, the Lord has really dealt with me that some of the things may not have sunk in deep enough, or people just haven’t had ears to hear what the Spirit has been saying, and they are not prepared to face some things that we, the Church, may have to go through.

The Prophet Amos made some very outstanding statements along these lines...

"Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing. And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD. Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. (Amos 5:16-24)"

A Day of Mourning

At the Feast of Tabernacles in the Seventh Month, there is incorporated into it a Solemn day of Mourning, Fasting, Repentance, and a general setting straight of all misdemeanors and transgressions against our fellow man.. This is called the "Day of Atonement (At-One-Ment)." It has been my experience through our years of close association with many prominent "Feast Keepers" that this particular facet of the Feast of Tabernacles has been conspicuously ignored. At this point, I believe that it is vital that we begin to think more soberly concerning our blind rush into the greater (so called) promised Spiritual Blessings to be had at the Feast of Tabernacles itself, while assigning practically no importance at all on the real prerequisites for Life and immortality. No doubt this is why the Lord says He "Hates and despises" our Feast Days and will not so much as "smell (or stick his nose into) your solemn assemblies"

Catastrophic Occurrences

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (Mat 24:7)"

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (Luke 21:25)"

The scoffers say "There have always been Earthquakes and Typhoons all over the world in every age, these are no signs that the end of the world is near." While these may be well taken points, the Prophet Amos said it would be "As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or (then, fleeing the bear) went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. (Amos 5:19)" In other words when these things begin to happen announcing the Day of the Lord, they will not just happen randomly, but all at once all over the world!! There will be no place to hide from these awful events.. As the Apostle wrote; "Like travail upon a woman with child, they shall not escape.. (1Thess 5:3)" A person will go to work in the morning and find the plant shut down because of the collapse of the Asian Stock Markets during the night.. He will go to get gasoline for his return trip home and will find the gas stations either flooded with customers, or out of gas altogether. The ground will begin shaking under his foot and he will suddenly realize that he is experiencing a 9.0 Earthquake. He will return home to find it in rubble and his wife and children gone to the hospital. Electric wires will be down everywhere, and the water shut off; then that night, the worst storms imaginable will hit the country raking it with devastation from one end to the other. John the revelator said of this day: "Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. (Rev 18:8)" This is the Prophesy concerning the Day of the Lord!!

Twenty-Two years Ago

In the late summer of 1978, I recall being told by the Lord that a "Great change" was about to take place in the "Church World," and that I was to announce it to the little church where I was then pastoring in Northwestern Washington State.. The things He told me, I told them.. About ten days after this first Word from Him, the Pope (John) died. I knew immediately that this was what He meant by a "Great change" taking place in the "Church World," and began seeking Him for more information to tell the people. He then began to relate to me that the next pope would not be an Italian, and that he would be a younger pope than most. He would speak many languages, and be able to sit down with kings and presidents all over the world as an ambassador for peace.. He would even be thought to be a "Charismatic" by many. I even saw this man in a vision sitting down with Billy Graham, seeking to resolve many differences within the church.

Well, I went back and told all these things to the little assembly and they were quite puzzled and amazed I am sure. Little did I know that there hadn’t been a non-Italian pope for over 450 years in the Catholic church.. We all stood by on pins and needles until the day of the final election of the next pope. When what to my horror and chagrin!! The Cardinals elected a little Italian who called himself Pope John-Paul 1st. Needless to say, I became the laughing stock of the whole religious community; I was horribly dismayed and embarrassed by the whole thing. How could this happen? Why Lord, have you done this thing to me? I wanted to hide. Then He began to speak to me again and said; "I want you to go back and tell them that this is only a transition period." I thought "Yeah that will really give them something to talk about;" but I did as I was commanded, and sure enough I got the "Tongue in cheek" from the whole bunch. But exactly thirty days later, the little Italian guy died!! Well, at the end of their next conclave, sure enough, they voted in John-Paul 2nd.; who was then young (in his 50s), the first non-Italian in over 450 years, and who spoke something like 53 different languages, etc... While I was amazed and elated by all this, there were things He told me which was for my own personal understanding, and which I was never permitted to tell anyone.. I can say this: I have always believed that this pope would be the one who would usher in the Millennium, and the rule of antichrist in the earth. He comes into the world as an "Angel of light," like a rider on a white Horse promising "Peace; but there is no peace."

A Visitation From Mary

In the summer of 1993, I had a very profound thing happen, which turned my thinking around somewhat concerning why the Lord appears in certain ways to certain kinds of people. I was baptizing a group of young people at a place in Washington called Lake Tyee, when all at once a little woman appeared out of nowhere as it were, all exited and jumping up and down on the lake shore. I asked if anyone else needed to be baptized in the wonderful Name of Jesus and she literally jumped into the water by my side. In the weeks to come I wondered about her, and finally was told her story by one of her friends who was there that day. Her and her husband were Mexican immigrants who spoke very little English; they were preparing to spend that Sunday in Vancouver BC at one of the flea markets. As the husband was out in the van getting it warmed up, the woman was in her bedroom looking in the mirror fixing her face. All at once the whole room filled with smoke and she realized that there were other people standing around her. Out of the clouds stepped one she recognized as Mary, the mother of Jesus, who spoke to her flawlessly in her native Mexican tongue. She said, "Don’t be afraid, I want you to go to lake Tyee, and the will of God will be shown to you when you arrive there." I was astounded at this!! Now I had heard of "Mary" appearing before to people, and never gave it any credence whatsoever, but as I thought on these things the Lord impressed me with the fact that even Mary the mother of Jesus, was baptized in Jesus’ Name and filled with the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost.. Since we were baptizing by full immersion in Jesus’ Name, this certainly was not any "Roman Catholic Mary" who had advised the woman to go to lake Tyee to find the will of God; this one was the REAL MARY!!!

The Mysteries of Fatima

I said all that to say this; in 1914 history records an incident in Portugal where some small children had a visitation from Mary; they were given instructions to deliver a message to the Pope, and that he was in turn, to announce it to the whole world.. This announcement never happened; although the pope admitted that it was a message from God, he refused to obey the commandment delivered by Mary to make the message public. This message was delivered over a period of some few days and was in three parts, or, as the Catholics call them, "Mysteries." Over the years, through the defection of certain persons rather "High up" in the Roman Catholic system, some parts of this have leaked out. The first part was a warning that in a few years from then, the whole world would be plunged into a great war (World War One); then after that, a wicked man would rise up who would attempt to kill all the Jews in the world (Adolph Hitler), and again the world would go into all out war (WW2). The second part of the message, or second "Mystery of Fatima" dealt with the rebellious behavior of the children against their parents just prior to the coming of Jesus. They would murder their parents, and other children, just for the fun of it; they would also disfigure their bodies by piercing themselves all over, and by decorating themselves with tattoos..

The Third Mystery of Fatima

Now the third part of the message concerns the pope himself, and this is certainly the reason they have refused to broadcast this message to the world.. This is also why I can’t help but to believe that this "Mary" is the same one who appeared to the little Mexican lady concerning her baptism.
In the third message, the last Pope is to be Satan’s right hand man on the earth!! He will reputedly attempt to lead the Roman Catholic Church and the whole world into the reign of antichrist!! In 1937 one of the children received another and last visitation from Mary; who told her that she (who had by now grown up and was serving as a nun in a R.C. convent) would be alive to see all these things come to pass.. Well, the woman is still living!! Although she was only about five years old when this incident happened in 1914, she still remembers it vividly. She is now 91 years old, but still alert and doing fairly well physically.. What all this means is; we are now on the brink of many terrible and wonderful things happening.

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready (Rev 19:7)."
Are we ready?? Is the church in general, ready?? Are they even being warned as they should, to make all things ready, and to get right with God and their fellow man?? Beloved, the marriage here is the "Merger" of God with man; it speaks of At-One-Ment.. The one facet of the Feast of the Seventh month which, if not despised, is almost totally ignored by the church world. How can we say we love Him when we hate and despise those whom He has created in His image, and even sent into our lives to bring us to perfection (See 1Jn 4:20)?? If we understand this, then even our enemies will be precious in our sight, for how can we not appreciate (or, indeed Love) our enemies when they are the very instruments who will keep us humbly walking in the right Spirit if we allow it?? Nothing proves our true relationship with God better than a slap on the cheek from one who despises what we stand for..

And where is His Glorious Church (without spot or wrinkle) today, if it is not suffering without the camp - in the midst of a fiery furnace of affliction, tribulation, and the contradiction of sinners against itself..? But we have the Lord on our side (See Dan 3:19-25; Eph 5:27)?? Praise God!!
